Witajcie w Nowym Roku! Wraz z nowym rokiem, nowe inspiracje nowe plany i pomys艂y 馃檪 Dzisiaj chc臋 pokaza膰 Ci kilka moich ulubionych prac znakomitego w艂oskiego artysty Francesco Clemente. Ten w艂oski malarz to znakomity reprezentant w艂oskiej transawangardy, ruchu kt贸ry oko艂o lat 70tych mia艂 pokazywa膰 ekspresjonistyczne tendencje w艂oskie we wsp贸艂czesnej sztuce.

Welcome to the New Year! With the new year, new inspirations, new plans and ideas 馃檪 Today I want to show you some of my favorite works of the outstanding Italian artist Francesco Clemente. This Italian painter is a great representative of the Italian transawangarda, a movement which, around the 1970s, was supposed to show Italian expressionistic tendencies in contemporary art. His works are a mix of abstraction and figurative painting. Clemente has traveled a lot, to Afghanistan, India, New York and much more, especially the culture and art of India influenced his further artistic work. You can find below some of my favorite works by this artist, especially brilliant collaboration Clemente with the American photographer Jason Schmidt for Harper’s Bazaar magazine where both the photographer and the painter emphasize the beauty of women with different types of beauty at different ages. The artist doesn’t idealize, or embellish … he filters their beauty through his own perspective of looking at the world and then pours them on the canvas. An element that many times appears in his works are expressive, almond eyes, one of its recognizable elements – piercing, slightly worrisome, making the seemingly simple portrait something completely unobvious.

鈥淎t an early age I had a vivid, transformative perception of my own mortality. Psychedelic drugs led me to question how substantial the ego could be. To be an artist seemed a way to ask: how do we know what we know? What is worth knowing?鈥 鈥擣rancesco Clemente
