POSTCARD FROM 1913
I want to stell You about very magical place in the Volkspark Friedrichshain in Berlin. The Märchenbrunnen – it’s just fountain of fairy tales. Unfortunately off spring-summer season we can’t see all beautiful sculptures in the Park but summer times will be the most convenient term for visit this place. The fountain of fairy tales designed by german architect Ludwig Hoffmann. He was very popular architect in Germany, also he designed important buildings in Berlin like: Märkisches Museum, with Alfred Messel the built version of the Pergamon Museum, Altes Stadthaus and much more. More over he was an author of many bridges, fountains or private villas. The main part of this complex are one large and nine small fountains. If You will here in sunny season all sculptures will expose for visitors. We can see there fairy tale characters like frogs, turles, Puss in boots, Little Red Riding Hood, Sleeping Beauty and much more which are made of sandstone and limestone. All sculptures was created by Georg Vrba. Very impressive are sculptures above the arcade, there is a complete gallery with animal’s sculptures from folk history and literary tales. One of the interesting fact is a situation when sculptures dissappeared after Word War II. Foud them in 1950 behind a high wall of one of the gardens (Friedrichshain) Unlickily sculptures were in a damaged condition. Photo below.
When it comes about fashion I chose polka dots! In my opinion polka dots are so timeless in fashion for every woman. Also I love puffed sleeves and combinations with puffed sleeves and polka dots is bull’s-eye! It’s a Tie-front blouse and we can we can tie a bow or knot. Further I have my old friend- classic black coat. My frosting on the cake is a small bag with a embroidered red flowers. Her shape is really interesting.
