Modigliani

Mowa tu o Amadeo Modiglianim urodzonym w 1884 roku w Livorno we Włoszech. W okresie Belle Époque żyje i tworzy w samym sercu artystycznego Paryża a zarazem prowadzi ubogie i samotne życie na marginesie społeczeństwa.

In this post I want to pay my attention for one of the most charismatic artist in XXth century, which world has appreciated after his death. We are talking about Amedeo Modigliani which was born in 1884 in Livorno, Italy. He spent there all childhood and nextly He moved to the Paris. Definitely Modigliani was a person with a turbulent biography, driven mad by alcohol, hash, love and poetry during his creative time in cold atelier in Montparnasse and Montmart. In Belle Epoque period he is an artist who live the live in the heart of Paris and the other hand he live poor like a marginalised human. In his art, his reference point was a human, he has painted mainly portraits, the artist hadn’t focused for landscapes. Between 1909 and 1914 he started focus on the sculpturing, Modigliani was under the influence of two phenomenon, I mean african sculpture and Brancusi’s art.( his works presented in the same time in 1907 in Salon d’Automne and in the Salon des Indépendants in 1908.).
Once said: ,,When I know your soul, I will paint your eyes” I think that this artist had ability to show psychological aspect of characters who he has painted. When we can’t see painted pupils, we are able to see only showing characters without psychological element. His hallmark becomes long neck and shape of headin in form of ,,almond” like african masks. He created own style with inspiration from reneissance or african culture. Amedeo Modigliani died of tuberlculosis in 1920, He was only 36 years old. The museum of his name is in Livorno in his familiar home, but We can admire many works around the world, for example in New York, Japan, France, Italy and much more places.

Berlin Victory Column and my pencil skirt

SONY DSC

Time for very impressive place in Berlin namely The Victory Column or Siegessäule. The Vitory Column is located in scenic place Großer Tiergarten Park, designed by Heinrich Strach (german architect wich designed construction of the Alte Nationalgalerie in Berlin or Flatow Tower in Babelsberg Park) for commemorate the Prussian victory in the Danish-Prussian War, exposed on 2 September 1873. The Victory Column also commemorate Prussia had defeated Austria in Austro-Prussian War (1866) and France in 1870-71 Franco-Prussian War. Later victories inspired the addidtion impressive bronze sculpture with effigy of Victoria. (8,3 metres high and 35 tonnes weight) Sculpture designed by Friedrich Drake. Total hight is 67 m. Project on a vase of polished red granite. We can see the columns which sits on a hall of pillars. Very interesting is a project of glass mosaics, designed by Anton von Werner. Inside of this project we can find stair leading up to the observation platform. Four bronze reliefs decorated the  foundation. Reliefs showing the three wars and the victorious marching to Berlin. Artists: Alexander Calandrelli, Albert Wolf, Karl Keil, Moritz Schulz. It’s worth mentioning about details like golden cannon barrels and golden garlands around the column.

With reference to my fashion inspiration I chose pencil skirt 🙂 I love pencil skirts and in my opinion it’s very good way for showing feminine figure, womens shapes. Also I’m a big fan of this pattern-similar to tartan. Interesting is a detail in the form of ,,bonding” two bonds on the hips. Next I chose sweater with  my lovely wide sleeves in beige tones from NOA NOA shop. As for accessories, I’ve got massive earring with circles in different sizes. Burgundy colour with tinged with gold.
